Alien Gear Holsters - jfergus7 - 10-16-2014
I am curious if anyone has an Alien Gear Holster? I ordered two of them a month ago and think I still have a few weeks to wait for them to arrive. I have seen nothing about great things about them and exciting to try them out. Just curious on others thoughts about them.

If they ever arrive! Getting annoyed with all the advertising they are doing being so far behind on deliveries. I will certainly post up pictures and reviews! I ordered one IWB and one OWB. I like the fact that I can change them out.

I have found that it is becoming normal with kydek gear these days. I also ordered a kydek wallet about a month ago also and still no work on when that will be arriving either. I think that the combination of people doing these part time as a side job with most of the companies and the major boom in demand for them has just gotten everyone overwhelmed. Like I mentioned in another post last week I got to watch a company making these and they are dedicated to doing this full time now instead of just a part time gig out of a garage. They have a few employees and are still having a hard time keeping up with demand.

I have one for my XDs and I really like it. Took a whole for me to find how and wear I like to have it, but that's with any equipment.. I bought the extra leather loops for it as well, but I have yet to try those out. But I'm fairly slender and I think it does a pretty good job at concealing everything and still looking uniform. I haven't looked at any of the OWB holsters yet though

They have a great deal going right now for two holsters so I ordered one of the new IWB styles which I have heard great things about and I ordered one OWB and I have two pistols that I like to carry so I ordered one for each and being able to switch them back and forth is great!

It was worth the wait for me! I haven't tried too many holsters yet, but I've been very pleased with this one so far. Next try will either be shoulder or a smaller IWB setup to try. I hear the Tagua are a good and might try that. but the alien gear was worth the money to me.
I'm thinking of getting the OWB from Alien for the Sccy so I could possibly switch back and forth.

Has anyone tried a kydak lined belt? I've seen a few guys are custom making them, they sound like they would be great for an OWB holster, just wondering about comfort.

To be honest I have never even thought of looking into getting one. Maybe someday if I have a real need I might. Let us know if you look into or do get one. Would love to hear your thoughts about it.

I can't believe that we are still waiting on these things. I really haven't heard anything from them either except for when I contact them. Very disappointing. Hope they turn out as good as everyone says they are after this long of a wait!

Sent them an email on 10/20 asking for status. Received an email from Alien Gear on 10/22 stating the following:

Nope, still waiting. Guessing my crap is stuck in Area 51.
I did order a FoxX IWB from Amazon over this past weekend for my XDS. Shipped already and should arrive next week.

What gun are you guys going to use with the holster, it would make sense that Alien would have some kind of inventory on the more popular guns...XD, Glock, Sig, Ruger, etc..
