What are you carrying "out there" - Dutz - 03-18-2019 So, you are going backpacking in big bear country, and you decide to carry protection. Size and weight matter, a lot. What do you take? A chest holstered revolver, Ruger Redhawk .44 mag, .464 casull? A .45-70 18" Lever? A 18" shotgun with 3" grizzly slugs? Something else? RE: What are you carrying "out there" - bradberry - 03-19-2019 Me, I would take a Glock 20 10mm. if I were on the run from a Bear, NOT, I would much rather have the maneuverability and the agility (not at really at this age anymore) with a pistol than try to fumble with a rifle. But that being said, carrying a pistol and a Sub 2000 (due to its foldability) might not be a bad thing. RE: What are you carrying "out there" - BelieveIn308 - 03-20-2019 I'd bring my Marlin 1895 45-70 with 405 gr. bullets, and my Glock 40 (10mm). |
