Target Focus Training - ssphoto - 07-12-2016

A friend and now future customer of RDA told me about some training available that I thought might be of interest to RDA.

Target Focus Training -- self defense classes. Seems a bit price prohibitive by yourself, but in a group setting, maybe affordable. They're also in Las Vegas, so I'm not sure about the feasibility of training over here.

Target Focus Training

Curious.

Red Dot Arms has several avenues to training like this. The *NRA Refuse to Be a Victim Class, Brain Hoffner's Forging to the Warrior, Brian Hoffner's Defensive Folding Knife Class, Pepper Spray Training Class, and they have tried to get a Improvised Weapons Class, but there wasn't enough interest. I honestly don't know why... but now maybe with all of the shootings as people needing to use what is in their purse or something within their reach... Mike might think about trying to get that class going if enough people told him they would take the class??!

I'd go but I think my cap on cost would be about $300 as a guess. I heard that the course could be upwards of a $1000 for an individual.

Are you talking about the link cost, or the Red Dot classes?

I'm talking about the link cost, or actual TFT training or equivalent. From what my friend told me it was not with knives, or pepper spray, but hands on moves to deflect a punch or physical attack, etc. The RDA training is great, but I'm not sure it covers the extent of what TFT does, and perhaps is out of scope of RDA's mission; I'm not sure.

Yes, right now we do not have a hands on hand training. Many police stations offer such a course if you are looking for another avenue.
