Walther PPQ - bradberry - 05-24-2015

So I am really looking to make another pistol purchase. My brother says the VP9 but after holding both the VP9 and the PPQ.. Well I think the PPQ wins. Anyone out there have, shoot or considered one?

I've thought about picking one up in .40 S&W. The local shop had one in 9x19mm and it felt pretty good in the hand but I never fired one.

I think how it feels in your hand should win out most of the time. I have not shot a PPQ yet, but I have to say the H&K VP9 is a wonderful firearm. Well balanced, German craftsmanship, great pistol, but $$$.

The PPQ was just a little less expensive than the VP9 and it does feel good in my hands. The trigger felt nice and I like the short reset. I have not really seen any negative reviews, more over the negative comments have been price related. I already have 2-40's but that's where I am leaning but the 9m is a contender since I only have one 9.

I'm not in the market at all for another 9mm... I have Ruger LC9S for everyday carry, and a FNS-9 that I really like a lot. I prefer .40SW and .45ACP round all day over 9mm.

Main thing is go in and try them on. Make sure either one fits your hand and you feel comfortable it

Has anyone seen and held a CCP yet?

RE: Walther PPQ - BelieveIn308 - 07-18-2015

I have not even seen one. I am always looking for guns I have never seen at the range or at RDA! It can be new or old.

I have to say the VP40 has me intrigued. It's going to be awhile until I can afford to get a new gun though thanks to my wife's car payments.
