Full Version: New Ruger LC9S Pro... And Gunsite Scout variation...

Ruger released two new products today:

A new version of the LC9S striker fired pistol. The one in the video I saw was slightly larger than the current LC9S, it had the internal magazine safety and the thumb safety removed. Other than that it looked the same. I could be mistaken in that it looks larger, it just did in the video.

The Gunsite scout rifle now has a synthetic stock option, which will lop off a 3/4 of a lbs from the rifle, bringing it down to 6.75 lbs. They also removed the flash hider and replaced it with a muzzle break. I prefer the flash hider. But Ruger listens.
The only differences I could spot are the aforementioned removal of the thumb safety and the magazine disconnect on the Pro version. Height, width, length, and even weight are listed as being the same.

All LC9 accessories fit the LC9s and LC9s Pro.

The Pro version might not include the New Jersey-compliant, orange plastic magazine, either.

Love my LC9s but not sure any upside to make me upgrade or get the new version.
I am sure Ruger is just responding to the "I hate manual safety crowd"... And nobody likes the magazine safety either, but it won't discharge if you remove the mag and leave one in the pipe...

Some guys (especially those that like Glocks) hate those features... Why I dunno. Is it that hard to train yourself to flip the safety off when you move you finger to the trigger? I guess some guys can't walk and chew gum at the same time...

They also released a new trigger for the 10/22 and 22 Charger pistol. Reduces the trigger pull from 6 lbs to 2.75 lbs.

Wow, that's a big difference.

NOTE: DON'T CHANGE YOUR TRIGGER ON A CARRY GUN.
