Hi, gang. Anyone out there want to chat about 3 Gun? I have one season under my belt and I am hooked!
Tell us how your competition went. I wonder if we could start a Red Dot 3 gun group.
Hi, Mike. I thought I posted some pics, but I am a Forum Rookie.

It was GREAT! Great people, incredible industry support and a beautiful range. We were at South River Gun Club in Conover, GA, an Atlanta suburb.

We had almost 200 women, the first all woman 3 Gun Match in history.

I got 15th in my division, Tac Irons.

A great experience and now I am planning matches for next season, both local, regional and perhaps another National?

The Colt Competition Pro 18" from RDA performed flawlessly!

I will try to figure out how to post pictures.

I have been watching your updates on facebook! Sounds like you found you niche! I wish i had more free time to get in to a group.
I have always been interested in 3 gun comps. I like that it takes people out of the normal comfort zone with one discipline. Plus it makes you feel like a badash Big Grin
I can't wait for our own play ground. Hopefully by then Lori will be to a few more competitions and can give us pointers.
I'm game for all of this. I look forward to seeing some pictures! I've wanted to try finding some competitive shooting, but i think I need to dedicate a little more time to practice before jumping into that. Are there any good local places offering any shooting events?
I've been watching some of the videos on YouTube and it looks like fun.

I shoot several national level events each summer. Biggest fun this year was up at Grand Island Nebraska at Hornady's Zombies in the Heartland shoot on Memorial Day Weekend. Three half days of shooting and all targets were zombie targets. It was a hoot. Great stages and the prize table was an unbelievable $250,000 in prizes.

They promised to do it again this year-look for it.

I want to try a 3 gun really bad. On May 30th I will be watching some friends shoot in a 3 gun challenge. It will be interesting. I have shot in an RDA match but the 3 gun is new to me.

Looks like a lot of fun. I would love to try it but don't have anywhere near the time to commit.
I would love to try it... My funds are too low to finish my third gun, but soon as I get it finished I'll be looking into trying it out! Any recommendations to look into in the meantime?
Time is also my issue. I don't have the shot gun for it either but that is easy to fix. It will be fun to at least watch and see how my friends perform.
It looks like all kinds of fun. I wouldn't even care if I sucked. I'd like to try.

As for not having the equipment, I would assume someone would be willing to let you borrow theirs, especially if they are friends.

Do it, Brad. You are going to be there anyway, so time isn't an excuse. Tongue
Just have not bought a shotgun or jad time to mentally setup for it. Hummmmm
It looks super cool. I would hate to think how much you would spend on practice ammo.
I think it would be a lot of fun... Are there rules about what guns you can use? Can you switch match to match?

Not sure on this one. I will hopefully attend it on the side of observation so that I can mentally prepare for a practice session out in the woods (after I get a shot gun for this type of event) then next year enter it.
Is there any of these close in Illinois that you guys know of? I'd love to go watch one sometime
There has to be... When I worked in Downers Grove a group of the machinists participated in a league. I never thought to ask them where the league was.
