how is the paintball over there??
I saw the sign for that on 173. That's like 6 miles from me. I'll have to check that place out.
I actually really liked it. It was really easy for my buddy to throw in a reservation and it was $25 a person with rentals and 200 rounds. they had some fun courses with building like structures and one with 4 vehicles and a boat and random stuff. it was cool to play out scenarios there. I would highly recommend a trip out there next year. They were more lax than some places I've been to, but they were still safe.

As far as the rest of the place it seemed like it would be worthwhile to go to. I was there late for our group so I didn't get to ask around much as far as the shooting and such. But we could hear the shotguns from the paintball courses and it added nicely to our games.. haha
I am hoping to see about maybe going hunting out there next year. It looks like a nice place
I'd recommend it from what I've seen! It's nice that it's close...

Does McMiller stay open year round?
Yes... But days open change. Right now till Nov. 21st, they are open 7 days a week.

After that just weekends, till Dec. 21st. They usually post times between then and Spring... Which is generally Wed-Sun, until Fall.

Check with their website for exact times. late fall/winter is like 9-4pm. Now is 9-5pm.

I assume next year will be similar. http://www.mcmillersportscenter.com/
Richmond is a bit expensive for my blood to hunt birds. I've been there several times with members, not only hunting but the fishing was great.
I hear you there. I figured the first time bookbinding it would be good to have a guide. And I don't really know if to many others places
I never even looked at the prices, I just saw some of the grounds and the main building... The paintball was cheap? Haha
What do they charge for a bird hunt?
I think 300 or so. There is a place across the border a bit, they charge less but it doesn't include a dog or guide
that is not too terrible!
Yeah when you consider you get pretty much everything provided for you, it would probably be a good experience. They advertise hosting like business outings and such with clay shooting. Haha I'd totally work for a place that did that
Hopefully that is what I am going to do with my tax return
Not a bad call. I'm gonna pay my car off so I can use the money from my monthly payments to save for a new gun =]

hopefully I can tag along on a hunt with some of my friends this year. Even if just to learn for a bit..

Does 300 and include birds?
Yes it does from what I gave read. I am not 100% sure if you need to be a member or nit. I figured there wasn't any point in calling until I had the money
Sorry for getting back on topic. ;)

I don't think you can go wrong with the Mossy 500 platform. Very versatile and reliable. I've never had a issue with mine.

I am new to shotgun, and have 2, these look like an really fine group. I have a Remington 870, and a Tristar Tec-12. I am like shooting them a lot. Summer is coming and I can't wait!
I do love my 870s also. Smile
