So when you think of your favorite War/Action movie, what movie is it?
Just watched "Enemy at the Gates" on Netflix last night. Thinking it's now on the top of my favorite list.
Thanks Dutz for the recommendation.
My favorite is Where Eagles Dare, with Clint and Burton. Lots of good movies out there but this one always comes to mind first. I've been to the castle they filmed at recently, too.
Way too many to chose. All three mentioned above are on my favorites list.
Here are some come to mind without thinking too much.
Lawrence of Arabia
The Horse Soldiers
The Big Red One
The Boys of Company C
All time favorite - Patton
The Horse Soldiers
Kelly's Hero's
The Enemy Below
The Sands of Iwo Jima
And yeah Where Eagles Dare is on the list too...
Battle of Britain
The Sands of Iwo Jima
Patton
The Dirty Dozen
The Deer Hunter
MASH
Apocalypse
Inglourious Basterds (Quentin Tarantino) is a recent add to my favorites. Love to see Nazi butt get kicked!
I also took Sir Dutz recommendation on watching the Enemy of at the Gates. GREAT FLICK!
Here's another obscure one to watch, given that you have over three hours to spare.... "Is Paris Burning"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060814/
Good acting, great soundtrack, good story....
Going to include
Dambusters
Bridge to Far
Where Eagles Dare has to be on the list too

Yes! WED is my favorite all-time war movie! After that, probably Soldiers of Orange, Dambusters, Cross of Iron are close seconds.
